Our equipment enables killing weeds in hard-to-get-to areas such as over fencelines and on steep sloping land.   We have improved many properties in the Toowoomba regions with lasting results.  Find out how we can help you.

Lantana control

Lantana and other woody weeds growing over fencelines is not only unsightly, but also reduces fence function and speeds up fence deterioration.  As many South East Queensland property owners know, lantana becomes thick and smothering and quickly takes over a property.  It kills native vegetation, prevents paddock grass growth and becomes difficult to walk or drive through.  Also did you know that Lantana is a category 3 restricted invasive weed and the Queensland Government requires land owners to take reasonable and practical measures to manage the impacts of lantana on your land?  Our lantana spraying and weed control program have lasting results, that will improve the value and function of your Toowoomba property.

Prickly pear

Prickly pear is a common weed seen across paddocks and acreage land in the Toowoomba regions. This spreading cactus grows 1.5m tall in spreading clumps and quickly invades pastures, preventing grazing and affecting land use. Infestations of prickly pear can also prevent accessibily through paddocks for people, vehicles and animals.  This invasive weed has spines that can cause injury to cattle, horses, humans and native animals.  Like Lantana, prickly pear is also regarded by the Queensland Governement as a category 3 restricted invasive weed.

Mechanical control with slashing and clearing is often not effective as prickly pear easily re-establishes.  However effective weed killers are available for prickly pear, with lasting results.

Our weed control services can help you remove unsightly prickly pear from your Toowoomba region property.

Privet

The problem noxious weed of privet – such a common problem weed in the Toowoomba regions!  This green leafed plant has white flowers in spring and dull purple or black berried in autumn and winter.  This annoying pest was introduced to Australia to be used as a hedging and screening plant but, like so many introduced plant species, it quickly became an invasive weed spread by birds and native animals. If only this plant had remained in Europe!  Privet takes over paddocks and allow no grass growth underneath.  The plant can grow into large trees with very deep roots, sucking valuable water from deep underground. As a result, privet out-competes other plant species.

On top of this privet is a major cause of allergic reactions in people, such as hay fever.

We can help you get rid of privet weed on your property with our weed control services.  Call us today, before your property is taken over by this pesty plant.
